well, forced marches & non-stop hustle all over again – new norm whacky weather – many monsoons, few hot & humid, few crisp & cool – garden mostly played out – blight briefed tomato crop, but lots while lasted, ‘nuff for sandwiches, gazpacho, salsa, tomato basil sauce, ratatouille, eggplant parmesan, many quarts canned – powdery mildew made havoc on cucumber & squash vines – butternuts soldier on – dug onions & potatoes – enjoyed escarole – chard, kale, collards, peppers persevere – stacked 3 cords of wood & expecting fourth – young neighbor with POTS syndrome cataloging backlog of academic titles few hours each week – those uploaded to amazon, abebooks, alibris – fall fair season here – we’ll exhibit at boston book, print & ephemera show, november 17, back bay events center – drop-ins welcome –
