Catalog 238 December, 2017 – Hello Holidays & 2018!

well, this file last updated august 30 – it’s December – soon a super moon – days about as short as they get here – but no snow as yet – relatively mild, but the woodstove’s going & defines living space – four cords delivered & variously stacked – garden done for year – hauled butternut squashes – some hardy greens for salads & such – dug potatoes with zach during October visit – good year for apples – three visits to Clarkdale farm in Deerfield – picked mackintoshes then cortlands – survived Allentown & Northampton shows in October & Boston satellite show in November – Halloween in montague now multi-ring circus with non-stop trick-or-treaters – neighbor counted 699 – extended masi clan assembled at sister’s in westwood for thanksgiving – opportunity to experience some greater boston traffic on popular beltway on popular day to drive – wild turkey & deer made cameo appearances in suburban backyard to enhance atmosphere – also gathered for nephew’s wedding at Lyndhurst in tarrytown & aunt’s funeral in Cumberland, rhode island – Winnie, long-time sister of mercy, spent several decades teaching in Honduras during some exciting political times there – zach ran recent Philadelphia marathon with condo-mate, spent following week in Israel, otherwise in final year of radiology residency at cooper university in Camden –
herein another mixed bag of recent acquisitions – books from pharmacist don brodeur repaired by john nove –more from defunct American textile history museum in Lowell – lopsided stabs as several sectors which have snowballed (?), ballooned (?) – cooking, early children’s books, odds’n’sods – hopefully something of interest for you – time to send files to eagle printing –
