11th Annual Pioneer Valley Book & Ephemera Fair
We will be exhibiting at & cordially invite all to attend the 11th Annual Pioneer Valley Book & Ephemera Fair, Sunday, October 18, 2015, 10 am – 4 pm, Smith Vocational School, 80 Locust Street (Route 9), Northampton, Massachusetts. Admission is $6; $1 discount with card, advertisement, printout from website; ages 12-21 $3; under 12 free.

About 50 dealers will offer antiquarian, fine, collectible, rare, & used books, pamphlets, broadsides, maps, posters, prints, manuscripts, autographs, postcards, photographs, original artwork, all manner of paper ephemera.

Of particular note, Battledore Books, Kingston, New York, will display original artwork for children’s books & Chinese propaganda; Brier Hill Gallery, West Roxbury, Massachusetts will show fine 20th century wood engravings; Commonwealth Books, Boston, Massachusetts, will offer modern literature published by Black Widow & Second Line Presses; For the Collector, Glendale, Rhode Island, specializes in 16th-19th century religion & New England history; Joslin Hall Rare Books, Northampton, Massachusetts will bring books & ephemera on decorative arts, design & architecture; Periodyssey, Northampton, Massachusetts, will feature collectible magazines; Schoen Books, South Deerfield, Massachusetts, specializes in Judaica & holocaust literature; Southpaw Books, Conway, Massachusetts, sells social reforms & African-Americana; White Fox Rare Books, West Windsor, Vermont, features fine illustrated & color plate books; Wesley Williams, Cleveland Heights, Ohio, offers books on history of science & medicine; Yesterdays Gallery, East Woodstock, Connecticut, deals in jazz age & depression era literature in original dust-jackets.

Foliage crews are working 24/7, armed with buckets of bright red, orange & yellow; pumpkins & potted mums will line the roadsides; pick your own apples; stock up on cider; Yankee Candle will undoubtedly favor the season with several new & appropriately named scents; college students will be everywhere; politics & perhaps even the sky a lovely & comforting shade of blue.
